Composite is real wood veneer that has been dyed and cut in a manner that produces clean, consistent, defect free sheets. Very pretty product. No seams. Ships rolled in corrugated flute and boxed. About pictures : Most pictures have been temporarily wet with denatured alcohol on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added.
