Own Live Website Development Project
As a part of the Search & SEO module, students will undertake a practical assignment to build and optimize their own live website. This project is designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with real-world application, ensuring students understand the end-to-end process of SEO implementation on a functioning digital platform.
1. Project Objective
The purpose of this project is to enable students to apply the core principles of SEO by creating and managing a live website. Through this hands-on experience, students will learn how to plan, design, optimize, and monitor a website to improve its visibility on search engines. The project serves as a foundation for building a portfolio and gaining practical skills essential for careers in digital marketing.
2. Project Phases
Phase 1: Planning and Keyword Research
Students begin by selecting a niche or industry focus for their website. They will conduct detailed keyword research to identify relevant search terms, analyze competitor strategies, and outline a basic site structure based on SEO best practices.

Phase 2: Website Development and Setup
In this phase, students will:

- Set up a Content Management System (e.g., WordPress) or develop using HTML/CSS
- Create key web pages such as Home, About, Services, Blog, and Contact

Students will apply on-page SEO techniques, including:

Phase 4: Content and Off-Page Strategy
Learners will produce SEO-friendly content based on their keyword plan. They will also begin off-page SEO by generating backlinks through directory submissions, guest posts, and social media sharing.
